“The Keyboards for Kids method targets the music centers of children’s brains at precisely the optimal age to enable future success not just in music, but in critical thinking and social skills as well. Behind the method is the secret: it works because it’s fun.”
Dr. Doug Scarborough
Assistant Professor of Music Theory and Composition
Washington & Lee University
Former Keyboards For Kids Keyboard and Guitar Teacher and Coordinator

I have been thoroughly impressed with Keyboard for Kids. Great program, great teachers - all at a great price. We will definitely participate again in the fall at West Woods Elementary. My kids have really enjoyed the lessons and have come home eager to practice during the week. Thanks again for everything,
Brenda Sterns
"Keyboards for Kids is a wonderful after school activity that both my children enjoy. They love learning to play the violin and the rewards they gain are incomparable. The teacher is patient, kind and nurturing. She truly makes learning to play fun. Thank you KFK for bringing out the best in my children!" Mitchell Elementary Parent, DeAnn Anderson
“The KFK learning model is highly conducive to rapid evolution of musical skill, as well as helping to jumpstart other cognitive development. As a family psychiatrist I have been passionate over the years about encouraging the empowerment and development of children. I have seen your approach work magic in establishing increased self confidence as children show each other their new skills and experience directly the joy of music. The "Mozart Effect" is real." Terry E. Gagon, M.D.
"I want to thank you and the entire Keyboards for Kids staff for your wonderful program. Keyboards for kids has created a budding musician in my son Tyler, a boy who was reluctant at first but now has developed a strong enjoyment of music and appreciation for the arts. Thank you!" Dan Cohan, Principal, Pomona High School
"Your class is so important, can we come twice a week?"
Julie Riffle, Maple Grove Elementary
"This is totally fun, I wish I had had the opportunity to learn music with KFK" Brian Donahue, Strasburg Elementary

We put the FUN back into learning music!
"Keyboards For Kids is a fantastic program. We feel really lucky to have Jocelyn Morrow's Keyboards For Kids program in our school. The parents have told me numerous times how much they appreciate the convenience and affordability of having the program right here at Amana. I've been very satisfied with the professionalism from the staff and company."

Keyboards for Kids is designed for children Kindergarten through middle school. All lessons are taught multi-age and arranged in small groups of 6-10 children; grouped according to grade levels when possible. For example, Kindergarten and First Graders are together, Second and Third Graders together, etc. Classes are held once a week and are 45 minutes long. Lessons are so exciting and even more fun because students are learning with their friends from school! In some occassions classes are combined due to enrollment.
Keyboards For Kids has been teaching children to love music since 2003. We have had hundreds of satisfied parents and children enjoy our program at many private and public schools. Your search for totally fun, convenient, and most of all AFFORDABLE music lessons for your child is over! Please read some of our testimonials location under "More Info".

Registration (materials fee) is a once a year requirement for all our classes and is non-refundable. Registration includes materials for your every semester during the school year.
In our main program, Group Keyboard Class, your child will learn ALL about the keyboard: how to read and play piano music, note names, understanding and playing rhythms, programming an electronic keyboard, understanding music symbols and notation, all about music appreciation, engaging movement games, and MUCH MORE. While this is not a piano lesson, your child will learn so much about playing in an ensemble, reading treble and bass clef, programing the keyboard (much like a computer), and learning to keep steady time and rhythm.

Even the best curriculum would be worthless if it can’t be “delivered” to the children in an effective way. That’s why one of our main focal points is F U N! That’s right; we make it F-U-N! We take the education of children very seriously so we never underestimate the power of play – a wolf cub relies on play to develop the essential survival skills it needs as an adult and we use GAMES to deepen the learning process for children and help give them a life-long love of learning.

Waiting Options 2nd graders and up
If your child is in the 2nd or 3rd KFK class
If your child is registered for our second or third hour class (2/3 class or 4/5/6th graders class) there are several options available for them for the first 45 minutes following dismissal.
Option 1)
Keyboards For Kids provides on-site in-classroom childcare assistance for children second grade and older. The KFK teacher can supervise the children (up to 20 total in the classroom) during the same time frame as our first class, provided the child (children) wait respectfully and do not distract from the class at hand. If at any point a waiting child becomes a distraction to the other children or teachers, the parents will be asked to secure alternate waiting arrangements.
Children waiting have several choices:
* Choose to work on homework at a desk in the classroom
* Bring along earphones for game boy, cd player, etc
* Enjoy music books, musical worksheets, music puzzles, music games provided by KFK teacher
* Rest and listen until the next class starts
There is no additional charge to wait in the classroom with the other children. All children regardless of class time that enter the KFK classroom after school dismissal.
Therefore, if you choose, your child can be dismissed directly to the KFK music room, and wait for the second class to begin - if you think she can manage herself during that time.
Option 2)
You can enroll her in the aftercare program at the school, and we can arrange for her to be dismissed at class time for her KFK class.
Option 3)
She can ride the bus home, or you can pick her up at school, and bring her back to the school in time for her class.
At any time if children are not able to wait independently or become a distraction to the teacher or other students other arrangments will need to be secured for the children and KFK will not provide care.
