Keyboards For Kids has been teaching children to love music since 2003. We have had hundreds of satisfied parents and children enjoy our program at many private and public schools, recreation centers and churches. Your search for totally fun, convenient, and most of all AFFORDABLE music lessons for your child is over!!

We operate over 50 group music lessons a week just after school at many area schools and recreation centers. No more driving across town with fussy siblings! We have over 50 locations across the Front Range and last year served over 750 students.

Jocelyn Morrow, Director/Owner of Keyboards For Kids, is a versatile pianist, teacher, and dynamic and music educator. Jocelyn maintains a music studio in Golden, Colorado where she teaches both Suzuki piano and traditional piano methods.

She is an established professional music educator and collaborative pianist holding Bachelor and Master's Degrees in Piano Performance and Piano Pedagogy. She has taught Suzuki, Yamaha, traditional private and group piano methods for over 22 years in Georgia, South Carolina, and Ohio and Colorado. Jocelyn, her husband, and their three talented children (all musicians) relocated from Atlanta, Georgia to Golden, Colorado in November of 2005.

Jocelyn joined the Piano Faculty of Metropolitan State College in August of 2009 teaching Class Piano. Jocelyn is also on the Entrepreneurial Studies Team and can be reached at at the College: jmorro14@mscd.edu.

Keyboards For Kids is a family-run business we operate from our home. KFK started in Roswell, Georgia in 2003 at The High Meadows School (A World International Baccalaurete School). We were able to service hundreds of children in our after-school program at area public and private schools. Our first semester we had 75 students in 3 classes, 5 days a week.

Jocelyn's husband David is the webmaster for Keyboards For Kids and serves as the CEO. Jocelyn and David have three musically talented children: Julianna, 16, a junior orchestrat major (violin) at The Denver School of The Performing Arts, Theodore, 11, a cellist and Maxwell, 10, a violinist and pianist. The boys attend Fairmount Elementary School in Golden.


Recent Highlights:

Jocelyn was invited by Pedagogy Chair Dr. Alejandro Cremaschi of The University of Colordao, Boulder to lecture on Group Pedagogy in November. Jocelyn presented a PowerPoint lecture on lesson pacing, behavior modifications, and lesson planning strategies.

As a guest of Dr. David Montano, Jocelyn presented her Keyboards For Kids teacher training process to the Chair of Piano Pedagogy at The University of Denver Lamont School of Music. Jocelyn discussed recruiting and internships available for DU students. Keyboards For Kids proudly has many DU graduates as teachers.

in June of 2008 Jocelyn will be a Presenter at The Colorado Music Teachers Convention (CSMTA) in Colordao Springs. Jocelyn is the only Presenter chosen to present two separate one-hour sessions. She will address Group Pedagogy and Improvisation for the Beginner Piano Student.

In August of 2005 Jocelyn was appointed Music Director at Amana Academy, a brand new Fulton County Charter School in Roswell, Georgia. Amana Academy offers students an elementary and advanced choral program, recorder classes, and a full afterschool keyboard program taught on-premise for students kindergarten through 6th grade.

From January 2001 until May 2005 Jocelyn was the Music Specialist (preschool through eighth grade) for the The High Meadows School, (an International Baccalaureate World School) in Roswell, Georgia. Mrs. Morrow taught General Music, Middle School Chorus, String Orchestra, Chamber Ensemble, Flute Choir, Jazz Band, and Recorder classes to children in preschool through Eighth grade. She taught over 300 students each week and frequently conducted choirs with over 150 voices for private and public events.

Mrs. Morrow was the former Director of The Yamaha Music School of Augusta, Georgia, from 1989-1991 where 132 students and 14 faculty members provided a broad range of musical instruction in Yamaha, Suzuki, and Traditional music methods (group and private) on several instruments to children ages three and up. Jocelyn was also on the faculty of Augusta College and performed regularly in chamber music recitals with the Augusta Symphony musicians.

In 1989 Jocelyn won one of three Steinway scholarships to study Piano Pedagogy at Columbia Teacher's College Piano Pedagogy Institute in New York with the renowned pianist, pedagogue and composer, Dr. Robert Pace. She subsequently received a Dual Master of Music Degree in Piano Pedagogy and Piano Performance from Kent State University in Ohio, where she won the school's graduate Concerto Competition with the Mozart Piano Concerto in D minor. Jocelyn’s undergraduate degree is also in Piano Performance from Georgia State University in Atlanta where she studied with Dr. Cary Lewis and Dr. Anna Haun. While at GSU Jocelyn was crowned Miss Georgia State her senior year and awarded a Talent and Merit scholarship toward her graduate studies.



Jocelyn Morrow has taught general music, group piano, theory, and private applied piano lessons at prestigious private schools such as: The Arlington Schools, Montessori School of Douglas County, Blackstock Montessori, Augusta College, Cleveland Institute of Music Preparatory School, The Steinway School, Yamaha Music School of Marietta, Yamaha School of Dunwoody, Yamaha School of Augusta, Ricks Center for Gifted Students in residence at University of Colorado, Bethelehem Lutheran School, Free Horizon Montessori, Red Rocks Elementary, Mitchell Elementary, and Walnut Hills ELementary School.



Mrs. Morrow's dynamic and enthusiastic musical style earned her high acclaim around the Atlanta Area. Mrs. Morrow's spearheaded many programs never before offered at area schools. At High Meadows, her Jazz Ensemble, in 2004 was able to record a CD after a much successful two year launch. Her orchestra program’s inaugural year she conducted a moving performance of Pachelbel’s Canon for the school’s September 11th Tribute Concert in 2002. Also at High Meadows School Mrs. Morrow was twice nominated for the prestigious "Barbie Arts Teacher of the Year" by her adoring students. She was additionally awarded the coveted "Bluebird Award" from her fellow colleagues for outstanding excellence in integrating environmental education and stewardship in her music programs.




Keyboards For Kids, Inc presented Mitchell Elementary School Principal Kim Summerill and the office staff an award for the highest enrollment for the year! We love the staff and Principal at Mitchell as they were our very first school in Denver Colorado and consistently have high enrollment. Way to go Mustangs!
