Keyboards For Kids has partnered with Rhythm Vision in this exciting and rewarding workshop. In "Build A Drum” the children will actually be building and decorating a Congo drum with a REAL goat skin-head. Each student is provided with a drum-making kit & decorative supplies providing them the opportunity to tie-dye and decorate their drum in a very unique way. The process of making a drum introduces the children to the science of instrument building, historical and cultural perspectives, visual arts expression, & rhythmic and musical exploration. Since each child decorates and builds their own drums a true sense of ownership and pride characterizes the instrument and the music made. Following the 5-week drum making process drum-class & small hand percussion group lessons will be taught using these unique and beautiful drums. Each Keyboards For Kids class is filled with interactive games, fun, and laughter. Kids LOVE our teachers!

What is a drum circle?
It is an interactive gathering of people using drums, percussion, and body movements to create in-the-moment music.
All ages and abilities can participate. No prior experience is necessary. No practicing :-)
